Sarah's Back Around

Sarah's back in town again,
my God Sarah where have you been
you look like an old Chevy pick-up
worn out but comfortable enough.
I'd still like to cruise
around the block with you,
plop yourself down on the red sofa
and I'll make you a brew.
What's that?
You don't drink anymore,
at least not since last week
when you lost the man
that you love and adore.
Sarah I know exactly how you feel
in a dream world as if love isn't real.
Here, cry on my shoulder
and we'll both feel a tad better,
its nice to see you again Sarah
lets spend some more time together.

Well, the first few lines had me spewing my coffee...

I had a girlfriend who reminded me of
a '58 Buick but if I had ever said that to her or anyone we knew,
she would have run me over, forwards and backwards... without honking.

But I did enjoy the read, JamesLee!!
