We
( The plural of I )

We,
firmly pressed one against the other,
me,
standing behind,
my arms around her waist,
my right cheek at her left ear,
and a whisper on my lips…

‘I’ve missed you…’

I could feel her face flush red,
her hands on my arms tightened,
she smiled and puckered a kiss
turning her head gathering in a breath
and said…

‘And I, you too, darlin’

We,
stood barefoot on the cool beach,
looking intently out to sea, like-minded of
this year’s fall seeming so unfamiliar,
almost strange to commonsense,
yet pleasing, as we were together again…

We,
were apart for weeks and months,
which seemed as years and years,
time gone, poorly spent, wasted away,
choosing thoughts to speak…
yet, words gone to particles of moist air,
too soon vanished…

We,
promising to return to this point
this cool sandy promenade,
to reunite again.

Even if we,
are only in my thoughts
and sleepless dreams…

.
.
.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself.
Maranatha!

Ah, JL, you had me going and you had to bust the bubble and let reality sneak into the picture. Well, maybe someday, huh, buddy?

Nicely done, we all have those kind of thoughts and dreams once in a while. Enjoyed.

Thank you, luminosity!!
Dreaming is a beautiful event.
You can dream, it's the remembering that's hard to do.

Lovely, JL.  I used to dream when I believed but then I woke up.  There are, by the way, many ways of waking up.  Reality catches dreams and swallows them sometimes swiftly and sometimes slowly but swallow them it does.  Sad but true.

Hope you are well.

Yep, I understand, but what the heck....
I love it anyway!  Live, love, laugh, enjoy, and be thankful rain or shine.

suthern, thank you for being so kind.
You need to get your poetic juices flowing
and write/post.

Again, thanks!
