Dreams

I've invented a girl
to get lost in the eye
of a hurricane honey blonde curl
to get lost in her eyes
like tears on the surface of a pearl
a condensation conversation
'tween the shadow and the light
these lusted dreams I've scattered
across the surface of night
will they ever fit her right?

I've plundered her
the brilliance of the ocean
now if only I could remember
the deliverance of her motions
to set me like a starry diamond world
transcendence via happenstance
'tween the dusk and the twilight
stone busted dreams they stumble
into persuasive claws of night
could they ever hold me tight?

Dreaming, dreaming
it's all I ever do
when you awaken to softer mornings
let the sun break on through
to enfold your autumn humming
cult of a summer moon
dreaming, dreaming
please dear dawn don't you let me wake too soon

I'm unbending this frown
to set my path alight
in death throes of a dreary town
to get back to being right
like a butterfly soul she unwound
inside this prideful hideaway
'tween massive fears and a heart
too wasted to color within the lines
spreading like blackness night
will I ever get this right?

Dreaming, dreaming
it's all I can do
when you awaken to harder meanings
let the truth ring on through
to embolden hopes for anything
cut of a despair suit
dreaming, dreaming
please dear dawn don't you let me break too soon

And along, along the painted blue way
I thought I dreamed up a redhead girl set in clay
come alive, come alive
and sing me back my songs
on a knife, on a knife
I have danced the edge too long
I gotta be
won't you help me be
I gotta be
free

Dreaming, dreaming
it's all I can do
when you awaken to calmer tidings
let clarity come through
to golden days

And along, along the painted blue way
I thought I dreamed up a redhead girl set in clay
come alive, come alive
and sing me back my songs
on a knife, on a knife
I have danced the edge too long
I gotta be
say you'll help me be
I gotta be
free
free to dream.

I enjoyed reading this especially the first part. Sounds like a song to me.
