On those November days, in '63,
cards were dealt;
shots rang out;
lives were changed.

For some, the game was over.
Jack, J.D. and Lee...
were the first to leave the table.
For them, the Dealey Game was done.

The King of Camelot was dead!
The idyllic happiness was gone!
Oh, what be the fate of Camelot?
For, nearly, half a century... has passed me bye!

Yes, on those November days,
when birds of a common feather
flock together,
I recall...

the gathering of the Raven,
the Vulture,
the Jays...
and the dealing that was done.

I wrote a poem about that time. I liked this because it breathed life into a real event where the assassins got away and the book was closed. I hope I live to see the day when it all comes out.

Hmmm, enjoyed King's "11-22-63"...there is a psychological escape from the past into the future through "The Rabbit Hole"... and I believe that is where R Van Winkle will take us. Exposing the future to the truth of the past.
