Intangible burning desire
All this time you took me higher and higher
Down I fell with mutilated wings
Down I fell an ugly thing

Wind blew heavy and tore at me
A single lonely human being

Fear
Fear is what I am
Fear is what I know

Light
Shines in the horizon
It promises warmth
It promises hope
But hope is dead
Like the tree above me
It’s all a mess

Take my hand you said
Smiling that secret smile

Bright
So bright it feels so right
So bright in my heavy plight

No more
I can’t take it
Not anymore
Your face
So like a wintery dream
Striking and radiant
Dark and sinister

Your smiles hold promises
Promises of love
Promises of laughter
Empty promises
There are no happily ever afters
Not here
Not now
Not for this lonely human being
Lying underneath this broken dying tree
With broken wings
A broken me

" Light

Gotta have faith in yourself first, my friend.
After that all else is mote and survivable, though not necessarily pain free.
