that last fire burned for you
blazing brilliant white light.
now i'm left totally consumed
with no kindling for new flames.

this hearth is a desolate waste
of charred stone and ashes
so i don more skins
to hide from the cold.

Cast your eyes outward, the inward look is not healthy. Especially not at this point.
