HORROR MOMENT
8 November 2012

Piercing scream from me
when monkey falls from treetop
lands on lower branch.

Wonderful Haiku, nicely done as always.

hi diana, I must confess it is always painful to see such a scene, your few words show a great and vivid emotion that you convey very artfully...Thanks for the very moving work,

Thank you, Victoria, for your kind words.

Thank you, Yann.  Yes, I have often been afraid for them, especially when they play and feed on very high branches, but this is the first time I have seen one fall (fortunately only a part of the way down) from such a height.  I have seen it happen when they were on lower branches and landing on the ground wasn't far to fall.

Thank you, Martyjo, but with a happy ending.  He/she had a happy landing catching hold of foliage and landing on a lower branch, and was fine, but it was horrifying for that moment, for me and very likely for him/her too.
