evening approaches
bringing on thoughts of yesterday
low hanging clouds
as my silhouette lengthens
and remembers
past days
lingering there among memories
of those I've left behind
have they forgiven me yet
are they still alive
or am I to them
no more than a particle of sand
as my
silhouette continues to grow longer
my days grow shorter
still
reflection is good
sometimes even necessary
as I conclude
moments so ephemeral
giving all of the days before
a sense of uniqueness
laughing, crying,
fearing and joy unlike any before
the women
are captured within my silhouette's
need to be
knowing there comes a time
to give them up
they are then
only a whisper so soft
it leaves merely traces and wonder
and ghostly apparitions
half in
and half out
of the silhouette of past days lost

for now
there is only one
I still see each and every day

Nicely done Jerry. Sometimes thats all we have is our silhouette muse and the reflections of yesterday. Enjoyed your words.

Yes, it most certainly is sad, Lori, and thank you for picking up on it.
