SANDY FRANKIHURRISTORM
29 October 2012

God, please give
the Americas
a break
and give them
a long, long taste of
the safety of the weather
as in most of South Africa
most of the time
and please give them,
in time,
my ignorance
and non-experience
of such things
except as history.

Yep, there are many that will need God's and man's help...I am fortunate, relative to the location of this storm, I live in middle of of the USA. However, we have our share of storms, too. Enjoy the day, Diana, and thank you for the kind thoughts.

Thank you, Bruce.  You are very welcome.

Thank you, RV, for your kind words and thanks.  I am glad you are out of the way – this time, but sorry you aren't always.  It seems to me there are very few parts of the Americas, especially the USA – if any - that are free of natural disasters.  I have never experienced one, but some years ago Ruth (suthern) described one to me that she and her 2 cats were in – and it was horrendous to think about.  Thank you – I am enjoying my day, but it is difficult to think of all those people who have been hit with the disaster.  If I am without electricity even just for a few hours, it freaks me out because I can’t work and being a workaholic, I want to climb the walls!  I have just had confirmation that Ruth and her cats are safe, but I don’t know what other Pipsters aren’t.  I saw some of it on TV and my South African mind boggles.

Thank you, Diana for your thoughts. We survived it here so far in southern PA with just heavy rain and winds, no flooding  and most of my relatives haven't lost electricity but the west has a snowstorm and the north and south have more flooding and all the beaches are disasters. And then there is New York, NJ and further north getting the worst right now.

I just hope most people do what they are told and don't go out unless a necessity and stay safe.

Thank you, Maureen - another one safe!  Though the rest of what you say is scary. In whatever way it may help, I will pray powerpunch prayers for whoever needs them and that, as you say, that people do as they are told to keep safe.
