stilts
their mastery, no,
their challenge

a new angle
with which to see
my world
at great uncle's place

balance
and unbalance
dodging pebbles
precarious

had lots of fun there
save the
head over heels
hill of nettles

talk about
precarious
wasn't even on stilts
that day

stopped
before going into the pond
good thing
didn't know how to swim then

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Yes, it was woo's "riding stick horses" that sent me back to my great uncle's farm in Aurora, OR

This would have been a time when I was 8 or 9.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Yeah, we all have our memories, mine not such nice ones, but I did have fun on occasion . . .

Vas...happy to have provided a key to a memory...interesting to unlock the mind...and guessing what we will find.

PS to Jerry...am curious...open the box. RV
