She use to close her eyes
under the silent cry of the middle night

Those tears came
from the the shoulders of her skin
that shirtless tank top that bared the winds eye
to shed the heart of a woman's struggle

The night never bared its skin
as it did that night
with its pocket clouds breaking off
onto her tears
down the streams of the rivers cheek
and through a child
that became a woman's soft heart
feeling the tear of a mans deceit.
