It came within
the sparkle,
of the heart words
that I read

On an autumn breeze
while I was
dreaming,
on my bed

She flew in with a
roof
that she held, gently
in her hand

Brought in by the
wind songs
that the clouds, had
softly fanned

She told me I could
lay beneath,
her shelter
free of harm

Brushing back my hair
I felt, the fairness
of her charm

She shrouded me
with veil,
underneath
her tent of shade

And soothed away the
fears
that always, made me
so afraid

She started laundering
my close,
that I had pushed
away

And pulled me
deep within
where all my
love,
began to splay

Of course her name was
Mary,
cause she’d
poppin,
to my mind

Deep inside where hidden
thoughts
were, once upon
confined

Made of honor, and
respect
my teapot, of esteem

She dusted off my spirit
and she, purified
my dream

She never asked
for money
all she wanted, was
to feel

The gentle hold of,
mystery,
that shows us
what is real

The wind began to tell
her
it was time,
for her to leave

Her tears fell on my cheek
as she put
one arm
in her sleeves

She tried to gather all her
garments
spread, across the dunes

But didn’t have the instance
to unearth,
her pantaloons

She asked me if my words
could help her,
fly back to her mind

I told her she could look through
all the ones, my heart
had signed

She found this one I wrote
for her
and took off, with
my breath

Dreams, are just the lips
between
the kiss, of life and death

What a surreal piece of poetry, Richy, and I am a little (n0t much) partial to surrealism within the confines of a poem. Surreal or not, there was something about her that reminded me about someone I used to know . . .

Delightful Mary Poppins and even lovelier poem, Richy.  I enjoyed the journey through your heart and mind - and Mary Poppins' too.

This is a very beautiful poem. Not only was it wonderfully written but also descriptive in a delightful way. Thanks so much for sharing this.

A stand-up comedy act we seem to have here . . .

Great, Richy! I know a Mac needing to be fixed. I hope she's not a Minute Maid!

How absolutely delightful, Richy! Your words give birth to a rhytmic dance in the mind and an amused smile to go with it.
