.

Thanks to the internet
I can stand in front of your house
Whenever I want to which is not often

It’s not hard to imagine how unhappy
I would have been alone there with you
In that squat single story two bedroom
Wooden frame with its dark front windows
Almost needing no blinds

I look up and down the street it’s pretty much
The same   Somehow in the scene one hardly
As if in a hurry to be leaving as soon as possible
Notices if there are any trees

Perhaps there are flowers   I’ll bring some
The next time I’m around   A small bouquet
A little symbol for remembering what could
Have been to lay upon your door

Some men dont realize how much a one stem rose can mean to a woman. So much more then even a bouquet. Enjoyed your words.

John, you write such interesting story poems. They stimulate the imagination. RV
