Like leaves on the tree

Affection too, fades

Emotion, is wind
that stores
and it trades

The bloom becomes brittle
and that is
okay

The thatch of the season
is starting,
to gray

We cannot blame hope
for holding
our dream

The weather of span, sometimes
loosens,
the seam

The forest of bones
and briar, of shrine

Hold all the mystery and shelter,
we pine

Unhappy of hollow the miles
have logged

We branch out for solace
asleep, in the fog

Just know when you hear
the bark soft
from the ground

I was just hoping
to one day,
be found

Touching the breeze
all my pain,
is now free

The sky was the hand
that could save me,
from me

A rich treasure-chest of interesting, intertwined, philosophical thoughts, Richy.  As always, wordplay par excellence.  I love the combination of sensitivity and accountability.  Amazing photo, too!

The poem began on a very good two lines and picks up from there. Floating within all of the many stanza's of this hodgepodge of a poem are the wounds of human existence. There are more quotable lines, but I'm sticking with the first two.

Jerry you are a very kind and giving man..

you and Diana and a blessed few more are really keeping this place alive and welcoming

i thank you for that

this place.. is almost sacred in many ways to those favored few who have left parts of their being and whole in the layers of laughter and pain that echo still, when all have logged off

yes thank you for greeting the new, and the old.. with the warmth of a smile and the, Pat, on the back

Richy your words were like a massage that felt so good until they happened upon sore and tender places. It was very powerful for me. Touching to say the least.
