MUSTANG SALLY

Me and my Mustang
Oh how I long to ride
Running wild and free
My heartbeat quickening inside

As we race down a country road
The wind whipping thru my hair
I feel your power beneath me
As we fly thru the air

Kicking up a cloud of dust
As we swiftly round the bend
Then picking up speed
To go around again

Oh what a wild ride
I feel so carefree
Me and my Mustang
My blue and silver GT

Yeaaaaa! I'm with you, Kat, and Mustang Sally too, you bet, especially since you are driving that sucker down an unpaved road, "Kicking up a cloud of dust." Yeah! Thass whot I'm talkin' about . . .

Kat, I was galloping alongside you on Flicka my beloved horse who is now in Heaven - and then, giggles, got to your dénouement - and discovered that your mustang was just a car.  OK, don't hit me, I am sure it is a beautiful car, especially with a name like that (reminded me of my 1981 sportscar-red MG so many years ago which I almost always drove with the soft top down - except in the rain in winter, lol), but you must admit, a horse is even better than the best of cars!  Very cleverly done, Kat!  I loved it!

Thanks Jerry! I had to sell my car this summer for health reasons and I really miss that Mustang. I'll have another someday when time and money are good.

Thanks Owl! I think my Mustang is the closest I'll get to riding a real horse. LOL!

Wow, on the road with you, my friend, emotionally sitting beside you, actually right beside you in my '59 TR-3 (my all time favorite wheels).

Loved this piece!

Sorry to hear about you having to put the Mustang out to pasture, Kat, but I know you Mustang riders, there'll be another one someday, I'm betting on that.

Richy - I like the Dodge Challenger better than the Charger. But I'm hooked on Mustang! LOL!

Cute one.

You know I was just back east in Maine, and came across Katahdin Inn, Katahdin Rd.  Funny I never knew it was a mountain.  Call me clueless.

Anyway, fun poem~

I loved riding along with you - though, I did what to scream, "SLOW down!" from time to time. But, that's just me.
