Our cliffs always were just a little too far
apart
to jump across, weren’t they

Separated by an abyss of reality,
in a virtual
vista

A creation of almost but not quite,
and,
just about, but not really,
exactly

Technology has a way of doing that
sometimes

In the back of the day
when life wore the snowcaps
of a
simpler idiot,
we used to be separated
by mere dreams,
and wishes

We still are,
but now we can actually type to them
back and forth
and even be,
touched

If something written was always
meant to be
part of the wallpaper,
of our heart

And who knew that one day
we’d even have the power
to break things
instantly,
thousands of miles away,
with mere words

Things like hearts and promises,
or even, trust
and will

It’s not easy seeing your, image
in an imaginary world

Or breathing, in a totality without
total

Because the air is heavy
with smoke and,
mere we’re

Sometimes paradise,
are just two cubes
of hope,
that crapped out,
at chance

Sometimes
to be,
is choosing,
not to

And so the knot,
is loosened,
and the orbs
go back in orbit,
waiting for the chains
or blessings
of gravity,
to bring them back around
once again

O the written feelings feigned
as fingers,
reaching out
across, the gap

Grasping for straws
of empty baskets,
barren of tender
and wine, of entirety

I guess there always is
a cost
to thread, our place in time

Life is so much longer
if
you’re not afraid,
to climb

Cast the lines of faith
across
and tie them, long
and fast

The view together, always
seems
to make our,
moment last

Very well done, my friend.  Really liked the way you put it together . . . especially
"And who knew that one day
we’d even have the power
to break things
instantly,
thousands of miles away,
with mere words

Things like hearts and promises,
or even, trust
and will"

There are so many "good" lines and groups of lines I'll not attempt to single one or more out. You were damn well hittin' on all cylinders when you put together this masterpiece together, and I don't use that "masterpiece" word lightly, believe me. In fact I don't recall the last time I did use it.

That photo is . . . something.

Great poem but I have to say that my favorite part has to be the name "Fee line" and the picture. LOL!

Richy, I get this, so totally, colours and shades of heavy with meaning and light with airiness, the history of now, and the now of history, superbly conceived.  The picture was born for the poem as much as the poem burst out of the picture.  LOVE the title, lol!
