Well it is getting close to Halloween . . .

Rain had left the lawn soaked and wet,
The house was dark inside.
The floor groaned: someone was within
Among the dark to hide.

I stood still, shadowed by the trees
'Twas a warm June night.
The house was locked as though to sleep,
Oh, for a flashlight; bright.

Were they watching me from within?
I will confess unease.
Suddenly I knew they were gone,
Left softer than a breeze.

While I cowered beneath the trees,
Nothing moved, all serene.
Though they had left somehow I knew,
'Twas a poltergeist scene.

Thanks, RV, I'm surprised you didn't "get" me for my Mitt remark. Tells me you are a class act.

ohhh really enjoyed the cadence in this one Jerry.. it crept along just right with the word choices using their width to bump the other ones to the edge..

ayyeeekk.. not a big fan of skeerdy things especially at night and when theirs some weather going on to boot..

that polergeist movies was so awesome though.. ill have to admit.. i kind of belive in such things.. enough to not eating pea soup without closing my eyes now hahaahh

yeah i know, different movie but still you get my drift right..
