The sea is never sad, it can be whimsical
when the sun flows on her blank shoulder,
when it caresses its heart of soft boats,
and untie clouds as an accordion,

The sea does not cry on Monday, nor on Tuesdays,
it does not need to amass booties,
neither Paris to calm her vast solitude,
she dreams about islands and about bright corals,

You can tell everything to her, she listens to
only your sorrows of poets, your hearts flooded
on the animal nights or the bad books,
she listens to your voice as a maitresse,

The sea is never sad, O captains,
she is a mother who lingers to console
the children who want to go away from her
and let her streams take their agonies.

Oh, Yann, this is exquisite, in its sensitive brushstroke of every word, nuance, image, emotion, hidden story and masterful and delicate blending of the human condition and Nature.  I wrapped it around me and bathed in it three times.  I can only begin to imagine how beautiful it must be in the French version, which I would love to see if don’t mind.

Oh you make me long for the sea.  I love this and wish I did not live in the interior.  I miss the water.

thanks Diana for the kind an important words,

I am only a couple of blocks from the San Gabriel River too, yann. Consider myself lucky.

...."love the sea very much but ftom the ground essetially"

Well, I don't swim, so essentially ... my feet better be on something solid ... so, me too, "from the ground essentially!"

This was beautiful! Kansas has amber waves of grain-not even close to an ocean. But I have seen the sea a time or two and understand your inspiration.
