Shades Of Back

O the days

How they march like soldiers in the desert with holes
in their canteens

Toward I,
that still fractured fear
trapped,
in the mirage

The winds be rippled,
as they flowed downstream,
my face just a boulder
lodged in its way

And the morn is a siren and a sore
of trumpets
that silently marches in two,
the fore

I need a bandage of rags,
and some strips
of courage
and a broken hourglass,
I can hide
underneath

But the clocks got tired
of waiting
forever
so time ran out,
as seconds of sand

All our born days
now measured in footsteps
tracing the moments
of time
that we tread

I was born a figment
of what can be seen
and a just a fragment,
of what
can be shown

My image unseen
buried deep
in between
the drips of our want
and drops
of our need

Dreams of touch
and tears, we
bleed
of what we write and thirst,
to read

I tried to hold the sun
in the air
but all I got
were blistered hands

I tried to find my way to shore
but the lighthouse beacons,
they shined, no more

I tried to stop the world from
spinning
but I am unapparent
and, hypothetical

So while kept walking
their boots through journey
making me cough as they trudged
through my center

Oh how I tried, to block their advancing
but my bricks were transparent
made of glass and excuses

We are made of space

Just like time

We’re a dim momentary
of slender shadow
quiescent
in what should
have been

A veil of vapor and veins
held
by the fibers of parentless
faults

I want for water

Or a glass of air

That wants to share
with me,
its view
from the sky

Just once, that’s all

I so long, for being

And the suffering, of love
again

If I promise to you
to make the same mistakes again

Will you promise
to me,
you will make them too

I have nothing left to give you
but some scars
of honesty

That healed from the brand
that you burned
into my heart

Marks on my skin
that will always be,
your fault

For being born

So just tell me how
do you carve in the shore
that she was
the one,
for you ever more

Under a sky
that doesn’t know why
the light always leaves
and never, says bye

Your poetry is full of energy, it is honest to a fault, sadly beautiful in it's melancholy, and always so full of grace. I love this...

Damn! THIS is unbelievably profound, man. You have enough material within the confines of this super poem for ten poems. Glad I caught this.

If my response makes no sense, it's all your fault... I'm lost somewhere in your words, simply whispering 'wow!' And it's hard to whisper when I'm gasping for the air I forgot to breathe as I read.

THIS
IS
MAGNIFICENT!!!!

Once again I have to wonder how you do this. Every time you post, it is just better and better. Deep thinking and yet you seem to dash it off and turn around. Glad to see you  posting again. jo
