Dearest Alison, you just drew me into the beauty of your message. I could feel the shards of light washing over me and I perceived them as the lovebeams you sent out through your heartwarming, splendid and special poem and picture.

Hugs and thank you for sharing your beauty here again. You have been intensely missed.

And you actually found a photo of a shards exploding from a distant planet, moon perhaps? Very nice poetry, enjoyed it immensely.

I look upon you as "The Postman" (from the Kevin Costner movie) -  you come when the words you carry direct you here, bringing tidings of one kind or another, always memorable to someone or everyone - word-art like this wonderful piece . . .

and we... I, miss you so much in the times between each visit.

so beautiful, alison, life is so complex, we live alone amongst people, we have to cope with that, lonelisness sometimes which can seem cruel, yes in perilous times, friendship is a beacon,

thanks to you, my friend,

Thank you all.  I love that you took the time to respond to this poem.  Like many of my poems, this one has a story (which led me back to PiP).

A good friend of mine recently was in a bicycle-car altercation.  He was on the bike and lost.  The last I heard he could not move his arms and legs.  I was trying to figure out a way to reach him.  I can't tell him that I know how he feels, all I could think of was how dark the world must be to him right now.

I put the poem in a card and mailed it before I posted it here.  I guess I needed to know other friends were reading too.

I think of him and I thank all of you.

With love,
Alison

Alison, I saw this last night, but my thoughts were tumbling too much in the technicalities of the database structure I am working on, to give a reply as close as possible to what this jewel of yours deserves.

I think if anyone were to ask me, “Who is Alison?”, I would send them no more and no less than the words and photo of this poem and they would know who Alison is and why she is so loved and respected by so many.  This is poetry, humanity, compassion and love, as they should be – read and taken microcosmically and macrocosmically.  All I can say further is Wow!  But then we all knew this is you, anyway.  Note to God: With humble and loving respect, God, why did You only make one Alison?

Alison, I must tell you that I was busy typing my reply above to copy in while you posted your last reply, so besides the fact that I didn't initially copy in the first paragraph which I now have added, I put it in without having seen your reply.

Your message emphasizes what I have said and what we all know about the loveliness of Alison.

My heart goes out to your friend and I will pray powerpunch prayers for him and his friends and family, and, of course, you.  Please visit him and talk to him even if you aren't sure if he can hear you - I think he will in spirit - and tell him of the power of Pip prayers.  I am sure there will be many once they have seen your reply.

Edited
More oops!  I was distraught when I read your reply the first and second time and didn't read it properly.  I see now that he is conscious.  I am very glad of that.  Miracles abound and I will keep praying for his full recovery.

Oops!  Just realised, in re-reading, that he is probably too far away to visit.  However, I believe - and I am sure that you do too - that if you talk to him constantly in your heart, he will hear you.

perhaps he is blessed to have your deep concern next to him especially in this sad and trying time of need..

no, not perhaps, he is, blessed indeed, as are all of us to have you in our fold

stay strong and brave caring one

whatever does happen these sympathies of his loved ones will cover him tight with healing warmth

so sorry to hear about his accident
