I have finally been labeled,
Grumpy Old Man; guess I'm stable.
Okey-Doke, I'll go to my bed,
Grumpy Old Man, least I'm not dead.

In my mind I thought younger things,
Like having one more lovers' fling.
But I guess I had better not,
I've just learned I've started to rot.

It's a sobering fact to know,
That no more gardens you will hoe.
Though most days I feel like a pup,
Grumpy Old Man they say is dried up.

Sometimes it's best not knowing truth,
Grumpy Old Man's Fountain of Youth.
So I'll sit on the porch and hush,
And let my mind descend to mush.
