Listening to every heart

Oh Dark

I stepped out at Oh dark thirty PM
And there above … the stars
Not so brilliant as in the oh
Dark thirty of an AM

But…

Menopause wakes me early.

I shall see the brilliant.

I know, I've laid on the ground beneath them,
and known . . . humble, in the grand scheme of things, and opened my soul ... just me, and them, in the awesomeness.

again, cool write, my friend.

I saw Orion's belt in the hours of brilliant earlier this week... and breathed the heat and humidity with a bit more gusto, knowing cool is on its way. *S*

I prefer the Dark Thirty of the a.m. though the creeping in of the darkness that shortens our days at the end of summer has a special, almost premonitory feel to it.  Oh Dark, indeed!

Though menopause is behind me I still wake up at all kinds of odd hours.  I think I should at least get a poem out of it.

Wish that I could write the scenes I have seen 'early morning dark or late evening dark". As a "night person" I have seen some brillance along the way. best to you Karilea, jo
