She felt her heart sink a little more
only enough that I felt a sense
of what winter felt
as spring peaked
its head around the winds door

She use to wear her blouse
until the night corralled the cold
and slipped into her cotton sweatpants

Her heart only sank
when the river bridged along the tiled, brick wall
Bricks,
like marks of time
evenly placed
as their faded tiles of orange
brought back a legion amongst her heart

A blouse
cream white at the top
with velvet, black at the bottom half
overlooking the damp river

Overlooking the quiet timber
with a heart that gestured
for a winds quiet tender
a woman without the shield of her heart.

There is much melancholy in your poetry and it stirs my heart in such an emotional way.

You write beautifully however sadly, and it's a combination that's not easy to do.

Enjoyed your poem so much~
