Did you bring the fire?
A light to cut the darkness
It's been spreading.

First a dark spot
Here and there
Nothing to worry
And then the fog came
Turning light to a glow
Arms outstretched

Can you see what's in front of you?
Fingers grasping
Searching
Then the darkness spreads
Can you see me.

First through the toes
Spreading
Through veins
Through limbs
Slipping through thoughts

Can you be a shadow of what you were
When there's only darkness.

An interesting feeling this leaves me with...  somewhere between an "Angel", "Buffy", or "Supernatural" episode and the idea of not letting depression consume one's self...  What if that personal shadow IS everyone else's darkness...?
