Fair to middlin' of nowhere

A hard one to love
once he got my heart
Like a greased pig
to catch on to
Now so driven
having given
himself a mission:
My heart
to have and to hold
and protect from
poverty
That exhausted vessel
of love for me
gives cuddle
sealed with a kiss
Wakes to coffee waiting
to clear his foggy groggy
Lips and I love yous
heading for the door
On the highway
on the cell
all the way to work.
Touching his
bits and pieces
when I can
Circle Sundays
in bright red ink
Where when bedtime calls
all his undivided
is euphorically
mine.

You are one lucky woman it sounds to me like. I'm happy for you.

Thanks Jerry, Yes I am. I shouldn't be so envious of the time he devotes to work.

"Like a greased pig

Love your write, but this line
almost made me spew my coffee.
Way beyond cute.

Enjoyed, Lori!

Only worthwhile things are a cause for effort.  The hard is all worth it on those Sundays I'm sure.  A pleasure to read you again.

I'm somewhere between an appreciative smile and downright envy... but completely loving the write!
