My world is dark,
I can't see the words that I write,
They are the words of my survival,
But I cannot see the words that I write,
I am soon to be doomed.

Oh, a miracle . . .
Light suddenly appears;
The words I have written appear before my eyes.

Oh please, please, surround me with darkness again.

Sorry about your emotions concerning the poem, Lori. I do tend to write in the darkness at times. Quite often actually.

Don't apologize for what you are very good at or the emotions they conjure in others.
You cannot write about pain and not expect readers to feel it. Is that not the point of writing it? Good is good, even when it hurts

Thank you, Karen. I think it is my background which causes me to write dark so much. I spent some decades living inside the darkness I created for myself, and although the sun is shining these days, I still gravitate toward dark poetry.

Jerry, I've got to say that I'm enjoying your various styles and unexpected ways of capturing my imagination and thought -- the twists are most awesome!
