          Sunset Life
     (Summer passing)

When the last vestiges of
  sunset
paint these 'endless' western
hills in a crimson-shadow
twilight afterglow,
(as Summer's delicious
  scents hang low)
a sharp crescent moon
carves its slice of star-field
  splendor,
from the nearest edge of
the infinite cosmic void,
where all our finest hopes,
dreams, and spirits
shall dance forever ...
with the fleeting echoes
of irrevocable Time.

Yes, it is lovely as Karilea says, but it has a somber cloud as we see, "(a final posting)."
Maybe not. Maybe you'll come back.

This is touchingly beautiful, dear Bruce.

Final posting? That's a rational thought, born in a moment of melancholy, but you are a Poet and your heart will continue to whisper to you and you will listen and be inspired to write. Trust me!

The magic of words like these should never be a final posting...is not the beauty of fall upon us with all its colors and timeless love...do not leave us wandering the universe waiting for its magic to touch our hearts again...*BIG HUGS*

*may our dreams ever be magical*
