Giving Her Sweetest Kiss

"Lovers don't finally meet somewhere.
They're in each other all along."...RUMI, page 82.

The silk lady had told me
that she would meet me
where the shimmering waters
caressed the moonlight
as it embraced the skys;
The same place where we
had met many years before
when I was graced by the presence
of the most precious woman
that lived upon this earth.

Upon that night as I looked into her eyes
it seemed as if she was opening the door
to her heart...when I ask her for a kiss
she moistened her lips telling me that
if I waited for a season the nectar
would taste sweeter...then she reached
for me, telling me she wished to touch
parts of my heart that had never been
touched before.

As my heart embraced those thoughts
of our meeting before, suddenly the
silk lady was with me and as she came
into my arms, her moistened lips gave
me her sweetest kiss.

Absolutely delightful and captivating, dear James. And Rumi's quote fits so nicely.
