THE PULL OF GHOSTS
1 August 2012

I look for you

in the smiles of
of dappled dawn light;

in the secrets of the dark night-sky
tickled by star-sparkles;

amongst rough-barked giants
offering their foliage to the heavens;

in the rain streaming tears
down my window panes;

in the rainbows laughing wide
leap-frogging across the blue;

deep within my psyche
where you breathed four seasons;

And you are in all these places.
Why do you haunt me, taunt me, so?

Thank you, Startime.  It is actually better that he doesn't as we aren't right for each other.  Smiles.

How wise you are, Diana. It is possible to love someone who is not right for us.

Not being "right" doesn't lessen the longing any though, does it my friend. And sometimes friendship is harder to take than nothing at all...

good piece...and love the title.

Thank you, Ida.  Yep, I am very good at that, lol!

Thanks, Jimmy.  You are right.  However, one can always overcome the longing if one tries hard enough, but fortunately in this case, there is no friendship – he would have none of that.  Smiles.

Ah, some ghosts are everywhere... and in everything.  Me thinks it's not them haunting us, so much as it's probably our sub consciouss seeking them out and in effect haunting ourselves.  You depict the seeking, and the hiding places beautifully, though.

Thank you, Michael.  Me thinks - or rather me knows, lol - you are right about the seeking and the haunting!  I am glad you think I expressed it beautifully.
