the past is searchable
it is searchable and unlockable
the darkness doesn't have to
remain dark
shine a light on it
you'll be surprised how it makes you feel
unlocking the past
shining the light of truth on it
it may have an odor
according to how dark the dark really is
but the light of truth and the winds
of your supreme desire
to speak to what has haunted you, lo, these many years
I am no longer afraid of you
what is done is done
I am a better person now

it is then the light becomes brighter
it is then the odor fades away
it is then you can begin life unafraid
you have conquered
your darkness

I speak from experience here, Margherita. I fought inner demons from my past far longer than I needed to. Like I said in the poem, one day I realized that I was a better person now than I was then, and forgave myself because I was a better person. I have been happier ever since without that darkness hovering over me.

Thank you for being here this morning.

You have indeed overcome your darkness, JP, and
probably have helped others along the way.
Smiles,

Yes, Ms. E, I have definitely overcome my darkness, and if I have helped anyone overcome theirs that is a good thing. Thank you for being here.

Fear is the key.  Living in fear is not really living.  Wise words my friend!
