A MOMENT’S GRACE
10 August 2012

The notes
fell softly
from the flute
like maple leaves
in autumn sun
and years wafted away
and love was young again
when promises
were promises
forever and a day.

Yes! This is the perfect ending for a lovely poem of a flute's notes and young love . . .

As your Words softly float on paper so notes softly sail through the air, both ever bound to entice others with the sounds proclaiming love and good wishes.jo

The innocence of youth is a precious thing, and then we grow up...and that's a good thing too.

Guess there's a trade off in there somewhere.

Beautiful nastalgia and word capture, lady OWL~

Thank you, Startime.  You are SO lucky that your daughter and granddaughter play the flute, as they are to have been given the opportunity, and to have the talent!  The flute is one of my very favourite musical instruments.

"When promises were promises"

That says sooo much.  Love the longing that whispers through this one.
