Here's to a home, from it I ran,
And to the wicked life of mine,
To solitude and loneliness,
Here's to you, ah, may you be fine.

I raise my glass to lips n'er kissed,
And the eyes that warmed my love so,
To our tête-à-tête; course we did,
I loved it when I made you glow.

The gift of love indeed. A very nice toast ... I loved also "may you be fine", it shows maturity.

Ah, Margherita, it took a while for the maturity to begin to soak in. I feel like I am the luckiest man in the world that I've lived long enough to reap its rewards.
