Silent Observer

An evening with soft winds caressing
Cumulus clouds fallow westerly breeze
A tinge of reds and pinks appear slowly
The glowing sky predicts sheppards delight

Vision of ancient forest path appears
Branches intertwine creating an arch
Bare feet stroll peacefully to the meadow
While breathing deeply pure of mountain air

Across the meadow natures friends welcome
The calm pool in the stream is inviting
Magic from the well sparkles in the air
But she is draw to a favorite tree

The weeping willow is old by mans time
Its branches part to allow her entrance
Closing gently hiding from human view
Eyes gazing upward following the trunk

A sigh of deep contentment lights brown eyes
The bench long used by the druids beckons
Create from the magical oak tree
It fills honest souls with serenity

Enjoying the gentle falling of night
Until a sweet silence fills the meadow
A bright moonbeam falls across the entrance
Reveals a couple laughing happily

The silent observer witnesses love
Knowing only true love could lead them here
Sweet understanding grows deep in her soul
Leaving them to privacy they desire

This is the perfect background for my next meditation, dear Karen. Simply gorgeous and so peaceful.

What a wonderful, visual, captivating picture you have captured here, Karen. I'm there. Inside the tree.

Weeping willows are my favorite! You took me on a most delightful trip with this one... loved the ending!
