I finally got to show this poem to the person it was intended for, my muse hopefully you will help me find my voice again.

==============
Thread the tangled waves
of your midnight curls,
where tender dreams are netted
and shaken free, as my trembling
fingertips trace a path of scars
to the cradle of your breast.
Beneath the rise of flesh your heart
echoes in my palm and I submit
to kneel in silent petition
while laurel leaves adorn your feet.

For a decade I was adrift
as a vagrant upon anarchic seas,
now I yearn to dwell
in the hollows of your chest,
to weave an olive branch aviary
and perch among your murmurs of desire.
I'd lay siege to your garden of slumber
so I may wake clutched in your embrace
for a final chance at an eternal dawn.

I think your voice and your Muse have conspired to give you back that voice you've been looking for. Nice work.

A beautiful sentiment, one I feel strongly... And so happy to have read it even if I'm two years late. You've always inspired me.... I am thankful for having inspired you xx

I get a sense of well being and coming full circle.

Your poem is a passionate one and made me step back and take a good look at love and forgiveness.

...and to appreciate every preacious moment in life, and learn from them.

A pleasure to read~
