Slumbering hope, awakens.
You hid in the lull of silence,
quietly, quietly behind the walls.
Though I hear you whisper no words are formed;
just the imaginings of poetry eroding
from pages fluttering in the wind.
A blank dairy whose pages I've caressed
to trace a hair, a scent or fibre of your existence
and to believe in a song, never written there.
Your invisible voice, beckoning for reprieve.
It’s a story that's ageless, born from creation
by two lovers shapeless in form
and always changing, as whimsy
lost in echoes of fairy tales
where every ending leads me to You.

duet by Dawn Smith and Brian Madden (August 10, 2012)

Wonderfully constructed with the soulfulness apparent in almost every line. "A blank dairy whose pages I've caressed," is such a great line, but then this poem has many such in-depth lines. I enjoyed.

Enchanting verse, dear Dawn, beautifully penned by you two. Magic vibrates through the lines.

A beauty...
I agree with the above sentiment expressed by Jerry and Margherita.

Enjoyed the read.
