Heart of My Heart

Heart of my heart:
my infatuation in poetry and song –
your words harmonious, symphonic,
a phratry or dynasty written
playing out a tune
as if time were placated
for you alone
melding elements
in thought and rhyme
in sync… beguiling,
sensuous, glorious
in sight and sound
treasures for
hearing…and more,
for holding,
owned by heart
and savored in thought –
a sharpening of emotion,
limning sincerity…warmth,
clarity, a promising…loving

Oh, heart of my heart,
just now,
you have captured mine…
verse by verse
I recite –
breathing every word
tasting experiences
in charming display…captivating,
your memoir –
stirring and admired.
Verse by verse
in my spirit
is a living treasure
which is
your song, your living,
your sharing
alive…distinct soul,
generous and caring.

Oh, heart of my heart,
just now,
you have captured mine…

.
.
.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself.
Maranatha!

When you give into the romantic within you, it is  very satisfying to read, JL. This is one of those that is more than a little special.

This is absolutely stunning! If the one who inspired this wonderful romantic write isn't smiling ear to ear, there's something wrong! LOL
