Love For A Season

"Sometimes love is good
only for a season."

If someone we love
only wants to
give a season
how can we
demand forever...

I've been trying to figure that out myself, James.

Thank you for responding Jerry...I was wondering if I should title this "Love For A Season" or "Demanding Forever" and you can see the choice...James

I am glad you decided on that choice for a title, James.  It has my vote too.

I agree with the contents of your poem, heart, soul and mind.  Any insincere or forced (by the giver or the recipient) gift is an arrow through the heart of both giver and recipient.  Sincere gifts should be revered as such - and the outcome should be accepted without malice when they end.
