The skies are bluer than blue
and sand shifts with the tide
the break of waves
move me.

A warming trend settles in
off shore winds
billow in the breeze
water tickles my feet
caressing my ankles
rising high over my thighs.

The salt sprays
splashing a smile
that warms my heart
like a seashell
polished smooth
buried in the dunes.

There are memories there
left along the shoreline
as we gazed and held fast
to the magic
speaking in whispers.

You send me
still
and I am windswept
caught up in the moment
of blue.

This is beautifully and passionately rendered, BluesSerenade. Each line gravitated and merged into the next one flawlessly and gracefully. Stupendous poetry.

I was born when she kissed me,
I lived a few weeks when she loved me,
I died when she left me.

I remember leaving such lovely litter and magical moments and would love your poem for those memories alone. But every line is beautiful... Great write!

Soft steps of the heart here, tracing the warmth of blue...lovely.  It's been a long time since I walked on the beach.  Right now, it full of noise and dune buggies...money and wheels by the bucket loads.  I never thought the music of the surf could be so drowned out, but loud exhausts are all we will hear for another week.

You have caught the magic of a natural wonder at its best!
