Parallel Paths Summer’s still young filled with happy dreaming The forest still calls in its timeless way Paths still wait in silent expectation Trees stand guard whispering to each other The wishing well awaits the spoken word Twilight descends with a tender caress Stars sing and light the ebony heavens The moon looking down with a grinning smile Two hearts tread the same path where they converge Love is generated by once strangers Who took a journey of parallel paths Summer’s still young with winter far away Karen Mc Neil July 13, 2012 |
