In a pool of hubris brown and green,
Life was not as fun as it had once been,
Itchy scabs oozed when scratched
Thoughts and sights seldom matched
The music was some forgotten tune
That gave a desire to howl at the moon.
Moaning on blue sheets with a red stain
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

To howl again
At the moon when for long
Been in gloom
At least is inspiration

Far from you
I see the same moon
And howl in pain
Not in vain
For answers to
the oozing sores
That never seem to heal
