The Walk

~*~

Golden heads ‘neath fingertips
on length of green graced stem
to dignify with reverence
I touch, but do not bend

‘Neath sky blue flecked of white
as wisps of cloud stream by
so light shall pass before the day
then beckons night come sigh

As the salmon eve delves deep
into night’s twilight purple keep
and mourning dove quits its song
I find this love for you belongs

In the morrow’s sun that brings
love’s retain in all good things

~*~

You describe your lovely walk in a most graceful way. The colors, the extra depth you give your descriptive passages is not unnoticed, Sunshine.

that stands out most for me, but the whole poem sings to me...in all its hues beckoning.

Beautiful and delicate the thoughts which spring from wandering in your footsteps. You do KNOW I love this don’t you? Mmmm I thought I’d left a clue or two.
