Lord, I know today I am going to ask for more than usual, but today, ...at least today Lord remind me with each step I take to be thankful for my legs with each breath I take to be thankful I am alive. I know we have paved too much of this earth but when Your creations press up and out reaching towards your beautiful blue heavens brilliant shades on fragile petals Lord, remind me to lift my heart upward as well. And Lord? When that familiar all too easy irritation creeps in, when that person who cut me off, or the one I have to help, again and again, or my partner who....ah, I shall stop there and just plead that You remind me that I am just as they are a creation of yours, and Lord remind me that I am a recipient of your Grace and Mercy too. Aha...so today I have received two. Blessings, that is. One was when a [gentle]man walked into the office, wearing grungy overalls, scraggly beard, much dirt under his fingernails and basically dirty all over, and said, "Blessings on you, gal. Is the boss-lady here?" I knew to expect a man by a certain name, asked him if he was Mr. So, he said yes, I rang up the boss-lady, voila, all was done. Until he left, and he blessed me again. That was my first blessing today. Reading your poem was my second.  |

jerry thank you, I thought I was illuminating my weaknesses and instead you read deeper and saw faith.....thank you sunshine, lol, bout time I showed my face round here... eg, thank you! we need daily reminders it seems so easy to get busy and forget star, thank you...hugs back suthern...lol...well its a pic from 3 years ago but my glasses haven't changed, my hair hasn't grown and I still wear that same shirt, so I guess it counts as a current photo......lolol thank you lady |

Yep, I agree. Sometimes we take too much for granted or think the world revolves around us. However we're just frail little human beings that have been rewarded with the marvelous gift of life. You're right, we should always count our blessings. Loved this. Eric true love never looks after it's own interests |
