Eternal

Seconds turn to minutes
minutes then turn to hours
hours take us into days
days to weeks, weeks to months
months to years time goes on

Love is sought then is shared
shared in words spoken true
true from the open heart
heart filled with tranquil thoughts
thoughts from a quiet mind

Feelings begin to grow
grow as nature designs
designs from cosmic plans
plans made to help mankind
mankind drawn together

Two hearts join in the dance
dance timeless melodies
melodies from the stars
stars smiling down on those
those whose Love’s Eternal

"Eternal" is love's promise. The stars we see in our lover's eyes are merely us staring back into our own, even as our lover is staring at their eyes looking back. This is the eternalness of love, two hearts, one love.

Lovely writing Karen.
Eternal is a good way to look at it and based on the stars.
An interesting thing about the stars;
If you consult an astrologer he will
tell you the stars have a direct
effect on you and then try and sell you a book or something similar to predict your future.
But, if you talk to an astronomer he will tell you that even travelling at a speed of 186,000 miles per second that the
light from those stars won't reach you in your lifetime.
They are so distant that the light you see has been generated before you were born.
So, that leaves the stars where they should be, up high in our universe as a romantic thing of beauty.
Love your warm hearted work.

Love IS eternal.  I'll stand by that statement... no matter how we humans may tend to screw it up, till we're left with nothing but the feeling.  But it's magical while shared, too... and that makes it all worthwhile.

"two hearts, one love"What a great way to put it...*BIG HUGS*

Eric
I have always loved star gazing...even in the early spring I lay on my back to watch a meteor shower...I may be 57 but I still find magic in many things and the stars are just one of them...*grin* part of me will never grow up because I still make the time to find beauty in life...*BIG HUGS*

Very lovely ponderings around eternal love, dear Karen. Yes Love, being the motor of life, is eternal, it's our awareness of it that seems  to have its limits.
