look at it this way
your mind is at work
caprice is in session
holding consistency
yours is a growing
kindred romanticism
as you search filigree
embellished sky high
awaiting the abstract
spiraling moonbeams
to swathe your body
with the love of a far
away one who only
appears in secret trysts
tempting fate for her
for she is your adytum
her face sacred, her
body a shrine of bliss
these wonderful trysts
are sweet to the bone
still, leaving us pseudo
fulfilled, wanting more
not now, maybe never
these few minutes of
love sharing is precious
she takes all the chances
in the fall of the sun

I learned a new word today...
and I found a new poem to treasure.

Libraried...
with a soft light.

"The business of the poet...is to show the sorriness underlying the grandest things and the grandeur underlying the sorriest things." Thomas Hardy

Thank you, Karilea, it is always fascinating to learn new words, you and your soft light . . . Gotta love it, and I do.

Great writing Jerry and like Helen expressed, the picture makes it all come together.

I've commented one time about a poem that felt bittersweet, and here I read yours and feel the same feeling.  Pseudo fulfilled... how apropos.  This certainly tugs at the heart strings.

The thing is, Nicole, we live in a instant gratifying world these days, and love had filtered into the instant gratifying world. Not too many love affairs, or even marriages make it these day. Don't know if that is all bad. Living with a person you can't stand the site of just for the kid, who will call you everything but a good parent in their teenage years has it merits too.

Thank you for stopping by, I appreciate it.

This is wonderful, how true that even a few minutes can give us a true "high" that nurtures us for hours, days ...

Much enjoyed!

Margherita, it is those true "highs" that we live for and receive far too few of during our lives. Thank you for being here.
