Today
I will conjure you
Out of this warm
June air

The tall pines
Stand still
Though there is
Coolly perceptible
A small breeze

The flowers flutter
As if excited that
You will arrive
And there you are
An uncommon miracle
Out beyond where words fail
Unable to convey

The change you bring
By just your being
Here where nothing
Ever was worth mentioning

Your smile
Your slender figure
Beckoning

Now listen
To the cardinals
Sing

I've always liked your writing style, beautiful as always. Enjoyed.

You convey poignant emotions with this beauty, John. And ... what a fantastic title!
