.

Red and orange
Leaves are lying
On the road

It rained
All last night
The street is wet
And shimmering
In the morning sun

Water drips
From telephone wires
Wooden eaves  Here
And there a bird sings

The whole world
Along with me is waiting
For you to come outside

Out the back door
Of a non-descript
Two story corner house
With a one car garage

.

I like that you wait for the sun in this way, knowing she will brighten your day.
