        Joy and Enlightenment

Truest joy and enlightenment lies …
in the first bloom of new love
and in even the tiniest whispers of
   the wilderness ...
amid the blissful calm and peaceful
serenity of a pathless mountain forest
where ancestral spirits dance
with our weightless dreams
to the eternal song of sunset
and music of the dawn,
down the ever-rolling seasons,
through these ancient, endless
hills that talk against time
and speak of a boundless cosmos
of infinite change and wondrous
   uncertainty.

Bruce, you pulled out all the stops when you composed this jewel. There are so many "quotable" lines you would almost have to paste the complete poem to see them.

My mind wandered in the "pathless mountain forest" and continued, amazed at the "ancestral spirits dance." I found myself near the "music of the dawn, down the ever-rolling seasons" to finally arrive at "infinite change and wondrous uncertainty."

This wonderful poem grabbed me, shook me, and awakened all of my synapses.

Bruce, the "uncertainty" line got to me...
that explains and says everything there is to say, doesn't it...really polishes off the piece too.

enjoyed...
