This is a work in progress, I am hoping to gain some new inspiration from the replies I am hoping to get. Thanks for reading.

The world is only what you percieve.
You decide what it is that you view.
Mind control is not a myth,
The ability is there, deep within you.

You are the master of the universe.
You are the creator of your destiny.
Stop believing what you were programmed to,
Open your Eye, realise you're free, and just be.

Some people live dwelling on their past.
Most are usually thinking ahead.
Learn to appreciate your current surroundings,
And focus on the present instead.

Positivity begets positivity,
And fear begets the same.
If you're feeling depressed or miserable in life,
You have only yourself to blame.

Try your hand at meditation,
Or practice some breathing exercises.
Take time out of your day,
To breathe and be grateful,
Broaden your conciousness and horizons.

Look at every situation with optimism.
Count your blessings and give thanks when it is due.
Spread smiles to everyone, especially those who don't,
And let your words always ring true.

Open your heart to everyone,
Leave no room for negativity or fear.
Surround yourself with those who love you,
And all you should know is cheers.

Most of this is really good advice but sometimes just living for today can have one making the same mistake over and over...in my case I have to examine the past to find the reasons why and then learn the tools I need to put the past where it belongs...as for some fears the body can react no matter how one tries to be happy...mmm actually the trick is learning how to be happy without feeling selfish...I am 56 and just starting an adventure in self discovery...It can be terrifying and wonderful all at once...great writing...I love it when I am made to think...*HUGS*

*may our dreams ever be magical*

Simply Delightful!
I think you made my day!
Words well worth remembering, if one can just keep them in mind.
Keep writing you are adding to my depth and experience.
Thanks for this present!

Thank you both for replying.

Startime~ I appreciate you sharing your thoughts, The mind is the most powerful tool of all, and learning to wield it properly is the most difficult task any Man has.
For once it is in balance and harmony you will know no fear, for you are capable of overcoming, comprehending, and acomplishing anything. *hugs*

Rabitlover~ I believe your reply has made My my day! =)
I have always had a hard time holding onto or remembering the bursts of true enlightenment and hightened conciousness that I achieve sometimes very randomly. I feel that is a common problem among Man. Even those who are highly enlightened as it is find it difficult to stay that way all the time, or even when trying to recall it.
That is why I feel writing these types of thoughts is so important.
Though the last time I had one of these moments myself I realised that poetry is useless in a sence, because anything worth saying cannot be said with words. Especialy english, being that most words are spells or lies with hidden agendas, but I digress.

Poetry is good because I get to attempt to share these thoughts in hopes to spread the enlightenment that I have achieved to others, in hopes to raise their conciousness or at the least spark a great conversation or chain of thoughts.

Thank you so much for your reply, and if you liked this poem, you should check out the one I wrote a day or to previous. Here in the link: /pip/Forum113/HTML/001061.html
