Beep, beep, the register scrolls
Totalling his groceries and such
She hands to him, a pack of rolls
Their fingers slightly touch

She resumes, Her hand retreats
And she assumes he knows
He's seen her mouth, her chin, her cheeks
The reconstructed nose

Indeed he's seen what the makeup covers
What the young girl daily hides
But he see's more than many others
The warmth in her blue eyes

He draws her gaze, in that way he can
That roguish smile he gave
Blue eyes meet his, she stops her scan
She's as pretty as she's brave

A smile returned vulnerable and sweet
Nervously bites her lip
A flutter felt, his chest, a beat
The moment starts to slip

She starts to scan, he packs up fast
He finishes, starts to pay
Their time is done, not meant to last
She felt beautiful that day

You rendered this special moment very beautifully, Aaron.

A nice "come-back" to Pip!

Enjoyed the silent message he delivered to the checkout girl. The same one she accepted with grace and joy.

What a wonderful moment described and the connection is superb. Funny about that connection isn't it?
Good work.
