There's a raging storm outside
and an equally fierce one inside,
beneath a calm and tranquill surface.
But you can't see it.
When you look into the bottomless pool
of another's bitter tears,
You see only your own reflection.

I feel the pain in this one, Ida.

That's a unique thought Ida and it comes across real good poetically.
Good work!

Like the painful depth of this, Ida.

Makes me think - as only real words and honest perspective can.

I checked the date on this one because...well, I was going to try to touch on the subject--dare I say--myself?

It's funny how that happens though. And I think that your style lends itself much better to what I was thinking about--afterall, a certified psychiatrist pointed out that Narcissists do not apologize for being narcissistic as they are too busy demanding their just desserts.

I applaud your insight, and yes, you do not stutter.

Thanks everyone for your interest. Actually, this is not about me so it involves no pain on my part. Just another one of my observations.  I avoid narcissistic people like the plague.

Gave me a teeny-tiny frisson.
